That number of migrants is rising steadily; Poland approved 504,172 work permits for foreigners in 2021 alone.

Most countries will accept Ukrainians. Germany has 1,164,200 Ukrainians now, and had only 155,310 prior to Putin's attack. Since then France has welcomed 155,310 Ukrainians over and above its existing 69,000 prior.

The U.S. itself has over 1 million Ukrainians whose families have been here since WWII.

Once Ukraine get expedited membership in NATO, and once negotiations with Putin are finalized, Ukrainians will probably return.
