...always have more soldiers, that the limited number of Ukrainians between the ages of 18 and 25 are what the Ukrainian culture is depending on for its future families, and that simply adopting the meat-wave tactics that the Russians use will never win but will instead serve to destroy the future of Ukrainian culture. So, the best help that Ukraine's allies can give is the timely delivery of the weapons systems and munitions that allow for Ukraine to be defended: this would be followed by necessary security guarantees in the form of NATO membership for Ukraine. Otherwise, Russia will only bide its time, regroup, rebuild, and renew its attack but from a stronger position.

If one takes Davydov's position as valid, the arguments that call on Ukraine to lower its draft age to 18 are not wise arguments. Seemingly, the major difficulties of the last year's efforts by Ukraine to retake from and hold their own territory against Russian aggression were thwarted by candidate Trump's and Speaker Johnson's desire not to provide legislation in a timely manner to support Ukraine further. So, it seems the best way to correct the situation in Ukraine is not to call for lowering the draft age but instead is to make good on US promises of weapons systems and munitions deliveries.
