This morning the brilliant Cole Escola announced his intention to turn the reigns of his play over to straight actress Betty Gilpin (no offense to Betty, but there’s something about a drunken Mary Todd Lincoln played by Cole himself), citing fatigue and prior commitments.

I can't help but think that the timing is set to take place right before the most anti-drag administration since Edgar Hoover's day storms our country.

Oh Mary isn't a drag show but it features drag. It's hilarious and fun, and without Cole, we are just one more tick away from being the bland and humorless Country every Christi-Fascist dreams of daily.
