12. Krugman earned my respect not long after he joined the NYT. He was the first economist who made it understandable to me

For awhile there was a fan who reposted entire Krugman articles on a separate site, which meant I could read them in their entirety, but eventually it got taken down.

The guy is brilliant, as one would expect from a Nobel Laureate, and he is very much a liberal. I hope whatever he writes in the future will be readily accessible to all.
