(23,001 posts)14. A shag when I was a freshman in college. I worked as
a short order cook in the college cafeteria and would end my shift needing to wash the grease out of my hair. So I went from shoulder length hair to a shag. My hair is thick and curly. It was such a mistake.
Growing it out was horrendous and I vowed never to cut it short again. So my hair length in the past 50 years has alternated from below the shoulders to waist length. Its in between that now.

Thank you woodsprite. That is how I did mine. I brushed all my hair forward, I stood up to do it. I put a rubber band

Thank you Tadpole Raisin. I frosted my hair myself and then gave myself a shag. I never did that again.

Mine was a blond. It came by using one of those kits. The one I had done at the salon gave me orange streaks in it.
