Go in. Of course it’s best if we all step up to support the legal system, such as it is, but if you can’t be an honest, engaged juror, or can’t afford the time, talk your way out of it.

Ignoring the summons can bring you big trouble you don’t need. I strongly advise you to deal with it before you get hit with fines or worse.
