Tom Cotton calls Dick Durbin a "liar" [View all]

But apparently he has no problem violating the Logan Act by signing (likely authoring it) and sending an open letter to Iran (regarding the negotiations of the deal to freeze Iran's nuclear program) in March 2015.

Logan Act

The Logan Act (18 U.S.C.A. § 953 [1948]) is a single federal statute making it a crime for a citizen to confer with foreign governments against the interests of the United States. Specifically, it prohibits citizens from negotiating with other nations on behalf of the United States without authorization.

There is no doubt that the motive for the letter was to undercut Obama's diplomatic foreign policy goals.
