not to downplay the "opiod epidemic", as it's been described lately.. but, I don't remember such concern for the "crack epidemic" in the 80's & early 90's.. poor people drugs have always been of little concern to the message conveyors and/or the policy makers..

I think 2018 is ripe for single payer (or the like policies) candidates to make serious inroads.. I keep coming back to this basic question, if not now - when? That is what Dems need to ask themselves, because R's will only keep trying undercut & destroy the ACA going forward..
