A cluster of galaxies [View all]

. This is Markarians chain in the virgo cluster. A cluster of galaxies located about 53 Million light years away. the cluster itself is composed of over 1000 galaxies. The second photo has the brighter galaxies labeled.

shot in my backyard 2 nights ago with 2 1/2 hours of exposure time
