This is a very artistic shot, and requires a good sense of aesthetics, balance and composition.
The rough gray highly texturized moon slice pops out at you up against the solid smooth black darkness of the rest of the moon.
And then the perfect symmetry of the slices, light and dark.
But I guess I wondered about a couple of things.
Why don't more people show the rough surface of the moon in pictures of the moon?
And does it take an especially advanced camera to see the surface of the moon like that?

Well, the camera/lens combo is really good. Mirrorless with image stabilization in both.
