There is what might be called an objective art, which affects everyone in similar ways. The Great Pyramid and the Mona Lisa, along with certain music, seem to have that quality. Certain images of sunsets might also approach that level of universal affect and appeal. I appreciate your pondering something beyond the superficial appeal of a "pretty picture."
