Call to Governor Quinn: Issue an Executive Order to Establish the Illinois Health Benefits Exchange! [View all]

Found this in my inbox and felt I wanted to share it here at DU...

Subject: Call to Governor Quinn: Issue an Executive Order to Establish the Illinois Health Benefits Exchange!

Hi,

Champaign County Health Care Consumers calls on Governor Quinn to use his power to issue an Executive Order to establish a pro-consumer Illinois Health Benefits Exchange! The Illinois Health Benefits Exchange (also known as the Marketplace) will provide access to affordable health insurance for individuals, families, and businesses across the state in 2014, as part of national health reform. Through the Exchange, more than one million Illinoisans currently without insurance will be covered. The Exchange will help individuals find out what public programs and subsidies they qualify for, what health insurance plans fit their needs, and help them choose the right insurance plan for them.

That's why I signed a petition to Governor Pat Quinn.
