Town Hall meeting by Paulsen? [View all]
Maybe
Announced and invitation from Westside Progressive Kelly Gucheon:
- The Rep, Erik Paulsen town hall meeting is set for Thursday, Feb. 23, from 7:00-8:00 pm (or later if he actually shows up) at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church (122535 Old Rockford Road, Plymouth). I've sent an invitation to Rep. Paulsen's scheduler, and Karen Anderson has reserved a room that will hold 300 people. We hope to fill it! Media will be there (Thanks everyone for asking!). If he shows, the meeting will go longer. If he doesn't, we will parade short synopses of the bills that he has voted for, and those he hasn't. We'll also collect questions from people that they would have asked him had they the opportunity, and send them to his office. I encourage you to spread the word. The event now has a Facebook page you can direct people to for more information: (https://www.facebook.com/Feb-23-Erik-Paulsen-Town-Hall-Meeting-1809207109346513/
- BTW, heres an example of how town hall meetings should be done, and, more importantly, how legislators ought to address and communicate with their constituents. Cary Saich sent me this announcement: Dear Neighbors, Tomorrow, Saturday, February 4th from 9:30-11:00 a.m., I will be co-sponsoring with State Representative Mike Freiberg and State Senator Ann Rest a town hall meeting at the Hennepin County Library in Golden Valley (830 Winnetka Ave N, Golden Valley, MN 55427). Members of the public are welcome to attend with questions. This meeting is free and open to the public. Individuals may come and go as they please. I value hearing your legislative priorities, and it helps guide my decision-making at the Capitol in St. Paul. I hope you will join us!
Sincerely, Lyndon Carlson, State Representative
