I'm acutely aware of the need here. Right now a number of hotels are shut down, not taking guests. I suppose they could be used for the homeless. But it really isn't as simple as that. A lot of homeless people are simply not capable of managing themselves. There was an article in the local paper several months ago which, among other things, pointed out that some formerly homeless were simply not capable of maintaining an apartment very well.

Hotel rooms could be a good solution. But only a temporary one.
