Living here in Western NC
since the year 2003

My parents came in 85
From NYC where I stayed and thrived

As long as I've been living here
I find myself less full of cheer

Red city. Red county. Red state. Red region.
The work to be done here is surely legion

But NC is better than most of the south
And with that all said. I'll shut my mouth.
