I was going to request a mail-in absentee ballot but I don't have anyone to witness it. I usually vote early anyway, which isn't too crowded, so I'm going to mask-up and do that.

I won't be working the polls though. I will miss seeing the voters file in and I'm a helper so there's that. Coronavirus is a hardy deterrent to altruism in this case, unfortunately.

The great thing about NC voting is that as soon as you cast your vote a poll worker scans it into the state’s system so the votes are tabulated almost immediately. That's why in 2018 North Carolina was called so early. I'm hoping that part of the process is just as smooth this time.
