1. I don't understand politicians like this

What's the big deal? As a Democrat, no one would be surprised to hear that she voted for Harris. It wouldn't be some big "gotcha" or "scandal." Most people would assume that a Democratic politician would vote for the Democratic nominee for President.

Am I missing something? I don't think she would either gain or lose any votes by simply stating who she voted for: "Of course I voted for Harris."
