While I personally don't believe that anyone should be able to use the "caught up in the moment" excuse, I'm certainly willing to listen and consider their poor judgment as compared to someone who is obstinate such as this woman. She deserves the felony charges and at least one year behind bars to contemplate her decisions. Due to her age and the likelihood that she will repeat the same behavior, she should also receive five years of supervised probation including drug testing and unannounced home visits. Her sentence should also contain a provision so that she is not allowed on social media for five years after her release from prison.
