in canada and is the pride of Quebec pay a fine for bribery crimes like so many other corporations do around the western world or would you ban them from working in canada for a decade potentially having them move to the USA? That vs. the independence of the attorney general. PMO got a little heavy with the indigenous attorney general of Canada. Moved her to another portfolio. Indigenous groups around the country support her integrity. Indigenous groups around the country have been happy with how far the Liberals have gone with reconciliation on indigenous complaints. Conservatives want to get rid of the 'Indian Act' completely (the laws and regulations that came out of the treaties signed with indigenous people). So everyone sees that she tried to do the right thing but the world is complex. Maybe Trudeau was trying to do the right thing for the country. Is the government just supposed to risk losing SNC Lavelin that builds things all over the world and is one of Canada's most successful international corporations. We don't have many of them. Then the former attorney general turned out to have taped a phone call with someone in Trudeau's executive. Is Trudeau supposed to lose an election that would put indigenous groups back into crisis indigenous leaders ask? Trudeau does have someone studying whether our attorney general should be separate from the minister with the Justice Portfolio. I hope this crisis means the Liberals win Quebec in the fall federal election. And indigenous people. And I hope both Philpot and Wilson-Raybould, the two liberal ministers Trudeau kicked out, run again and come back into the Liberal fold some day. But that maybe be unrealistic.
