I plugged in the iPod, and unchecked the "automatic sync" feature on the setup page (first time I plugged in the iPod into this iTunes).

Then, when my iPod was in the left navigation pane, I simply expanded it, right-clicked on each playlist, and selected "export". I saved it to my desktop (a *.txt file). Then in iTunes, I clicked File -> Library -> Import Playlist.




Life is good!
