They’re gathering together to take the ball and leave. [View all]

Problem is, the ball is not in their court. They’re planning to go someplace else, away from the game, where they will console themselves with tales of the terrible unfairness of the rules they were fine with when the scoreboard showed them with better numbers. Now that the clock is running out they’ve decided that the referees need to change the rules in their favor. So there they’ll be with no ball, no court, no refs, and no game. And they’ll accuse us of staying to win the game they walked out of.

Sad, isn't it?
