Non-cognitive Variables--their importance in future success [View all]

Here is an interview of a friend of mine, commenting on the research and practical application of promoting non-cognitive variables in education. It is pretty interesting. Edited to add--apparently what they are testing now in school has little or no correlation to success in college, but non-cognitive variables in students have a high correlation to future success, both in college and in the workplace. In other words, all of our education policy now is not following the actual research.
