There’s no need for a soccer mom to drive an urban assault vehicle. I’m sorry. If you think you need an SUV to keep your family safe, you’re wrong. If everyone drove smaller, lighter vehicles, we’d all be safer, including pedestrians and bicyclists.

Americans have known about the “Greenhouse Effect” for more than half a century now. More efficient vehicles have been available almost as long. We’ve had the technology available to lead more efficient lives, and individuals have chosen not to.

More than 3 million travelers screened at US airports in a single day. That’s a record

Travelers heading home after the Thanksgiving holiday set a record on Sunday, as airport officers screened more than 3 million people.

The Transportation Security Administration said Monday that it handled 3.09 million travelers on Sunday, breaking the previous record by about 74,000. That mark was set on July 7, also a Sunday after a holiday.


The airlines and the oil companies may have enabled this madness, but they couldn’t make all of those passengers fly. Roughly 1% of Americans said, 🖕🌎.
