1. I can't get people to understand the importance...

of little things like: turn off the monitors, the shredder for crying out loud!, the break room light, the lights in rooms that aren't being used, etc.

I once put a stickie on the shredder for two reasons. 1. It seemed dangerous to me to leave it on when not in use which is ALL day except for the rare time someone is shredding. I bent over once to get to the back of the computer and that's when I noticed the shredder was on and I have long hair. 2. Power wasted by being on. The others said I was being controlling with my note.

If you are using a mouse that you plug into a USB, unplug it at the end of the day and the damn batteries will last longer!

Power strip. Use it to turn things on and off. It's pure laziness/lack of thought to leave everything on.

I'm not there every day or I'd turn it all off myself!

Close the blinds in the afternoon when the sun starts to beat on the windows. Even better, don't open them on clear days. This makes a HUGE difference in the way the space heats up or not. DO NOT ask me to turn the air on in February when you can close the blinds.

Ok, I think I have used up my vent quota for the day.
