I don't eat eggs unless I can verify the living and care conditions of the hens. I guess I'm mostly vegan, but I have a huge weakness for goat cheese and feta ...
Study what you need for a well-stocked pantry - spices, etc. - and you'll have more versatility with cooking. Good luck! It isn't an easy habit to break (eating out) but in the long run it's definitely healthier and more efficient / frugal to eat at home!
