Just thought I'd post this link, for those who walk in awareness.

This is a 7 hour video. But wait....don't stop reading!

I didn't watch all of it, and one can pick and choose the chapters to watch. There's not much that those who follow 9/11 don't already know, although the documentary is, overall, very well done.

The important thing is this: If you go to Part II, the middle visual, and put your counter at about 45 minutes in, You can watch a segment titled "The Towers Little Dirty Secret". It's a detailed explanation of the asbestos issue.

I've known for years that asbestos was in the mix somewhere, but this lays it all out.

The towers were built when asbestos was widely used in construction, for fireproofing, insulating etc. In recent years more stringent asbestos regs were enacted and the cost of abatement skyrocketed.

By the year 2000 an abatement project for the Towers would have cost 1 billion $$ - the same as the cost of a brand new tower. In May of 2001 the Port Authority lost their 10 year battle with the insurance companies over the asbestos issue.

The towers couldn't be maintained without incurring the cost of total abatement. But they couldn't be outright demolished, either. What to do?...hmmm

Enter Larry Silverstein. He seemed in a hurry to close the deal on a 99 year lease on the towers. The deal was signed on 7/24/2001 and Mr. S. took out an insurance policy for 3.2 billion $$ on his property.

The rest is history, except that, quoting the narrator, "On the evening of 9/11, Silverstein was in control of 12 million square ft. of new office space to be built on some of the most valuable real estate in the world."

Meanwhile, again according to the narrator, "First responders continue to be decimated by mesothelioma and other pulmonary diseases."

There's more. It's well worth viewing.
