7. An apt description. Hellacious.

I started feeling crappy in the early 70's. Husband's family doc who we were using listened to my symptoms and said, "Maybe you had that yuppie flu?" The medical realm wasn't very well versed about any of this back then. I would get a bug or worse, strep. Acute symptoms would pass soon enough, but I'd be wore out and feel like crap for months after. Not bouncing back fully ever.

One poor soul I read about along the way described feeling like they were stuck/glued onto or embedded in their mattress and couldn't free themselves. It can be that bad, yes.
