if you have certain conditions, such as epilepsy, it might make sense as this diet apparently can help.

if you're doing it for weight loss, i'd recommend sticking with something more sustainable long-term without the risks.

in any event, if you're going to do it, i'd recommend strict monitoring of things like glucose and ketone levels.


i'm not a fan of fad diets, and particularly not a fan of diets that substantially change once you reach your goal weight (beyond merely ratcheting own portion sizes/calorie intake as you lose weight).
