4. Lemon Cake with Orange Cream Cheese Frosting was awesome

We took it to lunch with two of his siblings (his brother took us out to lunch for the birthday)

Our lunch was a favorite Italian family owned spot (good Democrats, great food, huge quantities and very budget friendly prices). They let folks in with birthday or other occasion cakes quite often. It's a BYOB place also.

We gave some of the cake to the restaurant workers (we just can't have that much of such a rich cake in our house); my in-laws really liked it.

It is filled with orange curd which really gave it a good POP!
