18. yeah mine came with a little pan

for poaching and "omelettes" - never used them. don't like poached and omelettes need to be cooked on a stove top, not steamed. the bigger ones look interesting but I rarely need more than 6 at a time and pretty easy to just make 2 batches (and I didn't buy mine, not sure if I would even replace it when it dies...maybe, it does work good)
