The garlic scapes are starting to appear [View all]
This year's garlic crop looks to be one of the best I've ever had. Every year I think, 'look up and see if I should or shouldn't snip the scapes.' and every year I forget. Until this year.
I'm going to snip them to leave more energy to go to the bulbs. I'll let some get big enough to harvest and use. I'm thinking of making some garlic scape pesto.
