(24,901 posts)29. We've moved so starting over at our new home.
We have TONS of tomato plants, 2 black magic heirloom plants, 4 beefsteaks,3 Roma and one unidentified tomato bush that is absolutely bursting with tomatos already!! We're also growing 4 jalapenos and 2 hot yellow peppers. I want to add pole beans and blackberries, but they didn't have any of those at the plant store yet. May have to use seeds for the beans? If I don't find any soon, I'll start the seeds. We have a trellis so it will be great for those.
We have a sage plant that blooms with bright blue flowers all the time and the bees love it. I haven't seen many butterflies, though. I want to plant a red 4 o'clock because humming birds and butterflies loved those at our other house.

this all sounds great. I've really gone all in on straw bales - they really excel for me.

Pine straw doesn't really break down quickly enough, and repels water - hence the wheat straw. I've not tried

I really like Jimmy Nardello - what a pepper machine! Growing in containers is also a joy.

this all sounds great. My gardens are now decreasing a bit in size as my age increases!
