Mar 2012

my crocuses started the first of February, now there are daffodils all over my neighborhood, and two of my annuals from last year are coming back. Those worry me because now I wonder if I'm infecting my city.. but obviously lots of other people in Arlington bought snapdragons, they sell them everywhere.

Today was a perfect day for digging around

I've got crocus blooming and daffodils not far behind. Spring's here as far as they're concerned. HopeHoops Feb 2012 #15
That sounds like a lot of work. Ruby Reason Mar 2012 #21
I sleep under it. Yes, I love that tree. The cherries aren't all that great, but the tree is. HopeHoops Mar 2012 #24

My wife just finished pruning back and raking the asparagus bed. It will be early this year. HopeHoops Mar 2012 #20
Asparagus is worth the effort. Ruby Reason Mar 2012 #22
There's not much effort anymore - just cut down the old growth and rake it out. HopeHoops Mar 2012 #25
Yes, it is either a fall effort or spring (or both), but worth it! Ruby Reason Mar 2012 #26
well, almost! shanti Mar 2012 #27
