8. I think a thread discussing the pros and cons of point shooting would be quite interesting.

My house is good size but the rooms aren't that big. The only place I would ever be shooting over 20 feet would be if I stood against one wall of the dining room and looking past the foyer at the opposite wall in the living room about 25 feet away or vice versa and it wouldn't even be that big of an area.

That's the main reason I see no purpose in having a rifle or carbine for home defense.
