then not far from Phoenix--the signal was so strong I could receive it with an AM radio at night.

Ray was a treasure. Even the hosts I disagreed with I could listen to. And they had the best morning and afternoon news. Just classic talk radio, rarely to be heard again.

People unfamiliar with KGO may not know that this clip is at least 10 years old. Ray died some time ago.

There were two major heartbreaks--first when they had the first round of major layoffs, and then the total obscenity of turning it into a sports gambling station.
