I love vets my great uncle is 88 sitting with our grandson [View all]

He’s a stud served Korean War Rakkasans 187th then Vietnam two tours he retired in 1976. He is eighty eight years old sitting with our grandson in his lap Samuel he is five.

My point in this ramble is my great uncle never lost his humanity I don’t know what he has lived. As in Chinese human wave attacks in Korea or two tours in Vietnam. As a former airborne infantry vet my time was all peaceful Cold War I’m thankful. Yet I smile as our grandson is explaining Jedi Star Wars to my uncle you gotta have a light saber.
