17. In which case you are retiring

very early. I'm guessing that the school system doesn't have health care benefits for early retirees. Alas, that's one of the disappearing benefits of recent years. My sister, who works in DC for an umbrella organization for unions had to postpone retirement when her outfit suddenly cancelled health care benefits for retirees several years ago.

Most of us need to wait until Medicare to retire.
