More corporate rip-off: eyeglasses [View all]

So I walk into the "Site for Sore Eyes" franchise in my burg thinking I might get better service from the local Costco, and at least, competitive pricing (without having to drive 15 miles out-of-the-way).

Uh, no ...

Bifocals with invisible transition and photochromic lenses: $399.00.

Costco price: $159.00

I told the SFSE clerk, "Costco has your prices beat."

He answers, "Well, that's an unfair comparison."
