when there were some strong female game developers... douchebro culture invaded late 90's to early 2000's.. and gaming culture changed culminating in the gamergate nonsense. The most righteous rant about this came from Chris Klewe - "Why GamerGaters piss me the fuck off" His opening hits em straight in the gut

You think you’re making piercing arguments when, in actuality, you’re throwing a temper tantrum that would embarrass a three-year-old.

I've been lucky, I played in some great guilds but the misogyny is toxic. These dudes have mental problems.
