9. When I started reading about WWII & the Holocaust 50+ years ago

I came away with the certainty that it could easily happen here. It was easy to come to that conclusion because it was during the Civil Rights movement with MLK. The backlash against them was the shameful proof that this country has a fascist underbelly.

If we Americans don’t stop it, the same thing will happen here. It’s easy to see that now.
