Still, pretty inventive world-making there. His stand-alone books are very good as well, such as Elantris and Warbreaker. I agree with you on The Way of Kings - that series, at least as indicated by the first book, looks to have the potential to stand up with WOT and SOIAF in terms of modern fantasy epics.
