Mine would be a BMW Dakar dual sport bike. They get around 70 mpg and are made really good. The are also really good looking, and can perform on almost any surface. You can usually find one in pretty decent condition for around $4,000-$5,500.

Electric starter added to my Bonneville T140 would do. Usually fine but lord I hate the bad days.
