I see someone riding one past my office every morning. I ride a 2011 Triumph Tiger XC myself. Can't recommend the crash bars enough. I bought my bike off a salvage lot, and it had been dropped on both sides. Fortunately, the previous owner installed crash bars, and they, along with the panniers, really helped in protecting the engine. You might check some of the forums regarding those bar risers. I installed risers on my Tiger, and did not have to replace the cables.
