(22,298 posts)46. I don't know all the ins & outs with intelligent design
but the way my parents taught me was that Genesis was the "why" & Evolution was the "how." Makes sense to me, especially since many other cultures have similar creation stories. To me, this suggests that we all came out of one group (further backed up by all the research into human DNA & the identifying of an Adam & Eve--very interesting stuff; see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitochondrial_Eve and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Y-chromosomal_Adam)
