How can you respect anyone who laughs at others based on their own ignorance? One of the reasons why I was drawn to DU was because the members seemed so evolved. That was solidified when I found this group. The nastiness on other forum is a problem to the people who spend time on it, not to me. If they think they're smarter and better than me, that's their right.
I'm always just amazed how some people think people's beliefs have to be proven before they will accept the concept. I say they need to prove it doesn't exist until I believe it doesn't. Until then, what makes these people so positive it doesn't exist? Reminds me of a debate about the world being flat.
