Christmas Eve was at the niece's with the 2 "grand-nephews" and the rest of the family. Had a wonderful dinner (yummy filet mingnon on the grill) and a great time watching the boys enjoy their new toys. I actually got to enjoy Christmas Eve this year and even have a fair share of wine since I only had to minister Christmas morning instead of eve for a change. Spent the day Christmas Day with my sister and her family. She is doing fantastic after the organ transplants - nearly 2 years ago now.

We have an old dog as well...he'll turn 19 this spring assuming he continues to hang in there. He is actually doing pretty well, though not very active anymore. Mostly just eats and sleeps. Can barely hear and his vision isn't what it used to be. There have been so many times I've thought we were near the end, but then he comes around again. I dread the day I lose him...hubby says no more after this one. That will be rough, I've had a dog in my life from the day I was born. But it will be nice to travel more freely in our "old age".
