Even though they belong to the same clade & are RELATED, they're more like Ovids, (sheep) & Bovines, (cows) in that they're both ruminants BUT cannot interbreed. BTW, they're NOT both redwoods, they are what they are and as in the earlier example, they do belong to the same Family, the CYPRESS family BUT like in the earlier example, they are NOT compatible, CANNOT interbreed because they belong to different genera. So NO, they are NOT the same tree. FACT & end of story.
