And if there is a straw man here, it's the author's and your claim that science as a process is questionable because it doesn't provide 100% certain, "definite" results. And no, we don't have to blindly accept other people's word for all of it (another idiotic straw man). The evidence is out there for anyone to look at, and it doesn't take a lifetime's worth of experience to comprehend it (yet another idiotic straw man). You don't have to be a trained evolutionary biologist to understand quite a bit about how evolution works and that there is overwhelming evidence in favor of it.
