Your wording says "should". That's different than what some may hear in the question.
No, it's not imperative that religion should be mocked. But religion has no more sacredness than any other idea. So sure, it can be mocked and there should be no holds barred if one chooses to do so. That doesn't change the importance of showing respect or sesitivity to all individuals for any reason nor does that mean the religious should have a special curtain of protection.
It's up to each of us to decide the difference between respect for the individual and respect for an ideology. I say respect people when possible. Respecting ideogy is illogical.
