It would be like this for weeks sometimes. Feels extreme now. Your cold temps are biting for the norm around there. I recall going to the desert in winter to camp, it was not pleasant. Up until a couple weeks ago, it was like San Diego winter here, and that's just wrong. Ski resorts are just sparking up but the avalanche danger is a problem.
